Friday January 28, 1985? Dear Jonathan and Clare, Hope you enjoyed your xmas and got safely back. I expect the children were asleep before you got home. I think they were all very good and kept us amused. It was lovely seeing you all and I really enjoyed my xmas. Your Dad and mum gave me a lovely time. I went to bed soon after Simon and Ann went and slept well in Christopher's bed, the room was lovaly and warm. Your dad brought me a cup of tea in morning. Linsay stayed in bed a bit longer. I expect she had been busy helping and was tired. Your Dad took me out in the morning all round Welwyn Garden City and to see the flats, The weather was just lovely again plenty of sunshine but cold. I do hope to hear soon about the flat as its so nice down there. Thank you very much Jonathan for the nice presented and coming to fetch me. It was kind of you. I have plenty of sherry now to last me quite a long time. I had lots of presents and everyone have been very kind now I have lots of letters to write. So it will keep me busy. Lots of love to you all and best wishes for the new year Nan XX (XX these are for Laura and Arthur). |
