Petrol bombers attacked the home of a Labour council leader after Waltham Forest council in North East London announced a 62 per cent rates rise. Mr Neil Gerrard's home was slightly damaged. | ||

ATTORNEY-GENERAL: Waltham Forest Demonstration
Mr. Deakins asked the Attorney-General if he intends to prosecute any of the speakers at a demonstration outside Waltham Forest town hall on 9 April for racial abuse, incitement to racial harassment or incitement to violence. The Solicitor-General: No complaints of criminal offences arising out of this incident have been received by the Crown prosecution service or by my right hon. and learned Friend the Attorney-General. | ||
