LEFTIES SPARK RATES REVOLT

THOUSANDS of people besieged a mayor-making ceremony last night in protest at their Leftie council's massive rates rise.

The 6,000 furious householders stormed into the grounds of Waltham Forest town hall, East London, in protest at last month's 62.2 per cent increase to 321p in the £-- the highest in the capital.
