Franklin Georges and Amarjit Devgun have been singled out for a vendetta following the east London borough's record 62% rates, set earlier this year.

Both councillors were sent a leaflet purporting to be a last will and testament, complete with National Front insignia.

Georges expressed disgust at the extent of right-wing influence in the borough and vowed to keep up a positive profile within the council.
