Waltham Forest has dropped 86,000 leaflets into the letter boxes of every household in the borough, asking residents to spell out just what kind of town they want to live in. The main aim is to make the providers of the council services more accessible to people. As a result of the survey local offices, staffed by representatives of the main services, may be set up. The council says it is keen to get people's views before setting any kind of decentralisation programme in motion. |
