October 28, 1995.

Dear Nan,I am sending you two copies of Yours, cause another one arrived before I had the chance to send you off the first one! How time flies. Next week Laura is appearing in a play at Stratford Theatre Royal, which is an old Victorian music hall. She has two lines and has to sing several songs. I'm sending you a copy of the poster with one of these packets. At the same time she's also hard at work on her school work. She's 16 now and soon has to take some very important exams

With one of these packets I'm also sending you a photo of Arthur. He says I can't say anything about him but I can tell you he spends a lot of time watching football and wrestling on the tv. He also spends a lot of time playing football in the street and tomorrow he's going to watch a Tottenham Hotspur match. Spurs is probably the nearest first class football team.

I went to Ireland in the middle of the week and it rained two inches in 24 hours! When I was due to fly out of Dublin there was a gale blowing and the plane we were supposed to get on had to be diverted to another airport. Eventually they found another plane and when we got on it they re-fuelled it-- the first time I've ever been on a plane with the fuel tanker alongside. Anyway we eventually took off and it was a fairly bumpy ride back to London. When I landed I found my car in the huge car park, drove out and as I was trying to put my parking ticket into the machine to open the gate to get out, the ticket blew away! I had to get out of the car and run after it to catch it before I could escape from the car park! Anyway, Christmas is coming and we're sure to see you sometime then.
