The Swan Bells, a millennium project in Perth, contains the old bells from St Martin in the Fields, Trafalgar Square. The new bells for the London church were cast at Whitechapel Foundry from Australian copper and tin. Perth self consciously set about creating a monument, to house the old bells. We went up the bell tower and it has quite a good view across Perth. An interesting place. When we visited one of the Australian ticket takers told us he'd been in London not many months earlier and had queud to get into Madam Tussauds. I told him the queue was probably the best part of the day since you get buskers entertaining you.
