Katy looking at one of the tanks in the Sydney Aquarium. We were very impressed by the aquarium. It had a huge collection of Australian wild life include crockodiles and a Duck Billed Platypus.
We saw these huge bats, or flying foxes, in a park in Sydney, complete with a note to the effect that the park was getting rid of them by humane means (ie not shooting them). Given that there were huge numbers of the bats and the entire area stank of amonia (ie bat urine) the authorities didn't seem to be too successful at doing whatever it was they were doing!
