Dear Ruby, Thanks very much for your Christmas Card. Yes Nan is still fit and well. She's going to be 106 this year, so I guess she is headed towards the record books.
She's certainly the oldest Brind there's ever been and I'd guess she's also the oldest Hutton. However, she's profoundly deaf and can not see at all well. As a result I don't think she has a great quality of life. She spent most of her active life looking after other people and I think she would still like to be helpful, if she could.
That said she gets around pretty well with her Zimmer frame and seems to recognise me when I call (which I'm afraid is not very often) at the old folks' home.
Best wishes and sorry I didn't write earlier. We went to Australia in November/ December and haven't really caught up with things since! If you have a computer (or a relative with a computer) I'll send you a cd with the photos from Australia.
