We took the tablets (Malarone) but given the level of mosquito attack I wonder if they are effective.
They also have unpleasant side effects and you have to take them for a week after you come back.

Along with the mosquitoes. It was peak malaria season and we met a crazy Swedish speaking restaurant owner who'd just picked up malaria.
