Gambia is a very vibrant place. And it's not just the wild life. Everything from the clothes the people wear to the kettles and buckets are very vibrantly coloured. It's an exuberant culture. According to the people you talk to 80% and more are Islamic but we saw precious few wearing the veil (or indeed anything you could describe as Islamic costume).
