Photographing Hasidim
Had an extraordinary experience today. Hasidim are often out in force on the marshes and since I take a lot of photographs I'm always wary of them since I believed they were against being photographed. I was on the toe path edging my way past a large family group of Hasidim when one of them stopped me, What on Earth for, I wondered? Could I take their camera and photograph the group, he asked? They seemed to like my photograph. I was well chuffed.
