Cheque mate? | |
| Yesterday I was very depressed because I got a letter from the tax man saying my tax for 2006/7 had been wrongly calculated.
It ended with a figure of £260, very little for me then (when I had a proper job) but a lot now that I'm a struggling artist. I thought, 'how am I going to pay it'. Today I received a cheque. I'd misread the letter. Apparently they'd decided they owed me the money not the other way round! |
