I've created a web service called Chatham Chat and this sometimes involves taking photos of incidents where there is a police presence. Often the police take the attitude that they 'own' the incident, even though it is in a public area. Recently an officer told me to stop taking photos and threatened to confiscate the phone I was using to take the pictures. He was a decent guy but he was wrong. So I complained via the police system and today received an acknowledgement that I (and you, if you happen to live in Kent) have a right to take photos unmolested by the police. | ||
