Looks like I have an income again. It's a decade since I could spend any money on anything I actually wanted, like holidays. For two years prior to my leaving Unity Media I was saving desperately hard to invest in the video business. Since then I've had a lot of fancy toys, cameras etc, but it's only really been the bare minimum to function as a video maker. But now I probably have an income. I say probably because there have been some false alarms before, like when I was hired to create a zine for the glass industry a while back. But this time I think it will work if only because they are throwing a car at me. I don't really want a car. I don't like them and I've already got one but it is a tangible sign of good intent, I think.
