For some while now I have been aware that there's something living in my compost bin.
I thought it was probably a rat, or more likely a family of rats. I have no objection to rats in principle, in fact I quite like them. However, I do my best to make sure they do not share my accommodation.
A compost bin in the garden is different. I can't see how a rat could do any harm there. However, today I saw a brown, furry thing. It was big, or plump. Too big to be a mouse but I thought it was too small to be a rat.
Are there voles in Medway and do voles like to live in compost bins?
