It appeared to be made of plastic so I thought it was probably a children's toy, but never having come across a real alien finger, I couldn't be sure.
Today's haul was a lump of heavy soft metal, presumably lead. It clearly hadn't come from a lead pipe since it was quite thick and the sides appeared to be regular. If anything it looked like an ingot, but I've never heard of a lead ingot. Anyone any ideas about what it might be?
