Saved by the Mighty Cockroach
Walking home tonight I heard an interesting sounding singer at The Jolly Caulkers, just off Chatham High Street.
I went in and had a pint of Guinness. I hadn't been there long when a Hungarian guy decided to throw his beer at my back. I wasn't even facing him and have no idea how I had upset him. I was looking at the singer. A woman who said she ran the pub grabbed the guy and hustled him out of the pub. Afterwards she told me her nickname was the 'mighty cockroach', she then dried the beer from my jacket and offered me a free pint. Chatham, it would be the wild west if it wasn't for the fact that it's in the east.
