The perils of doing business with Amazon | |||
I am reluctant to draw general conclusions from my personal experience of the Internet, since I know the trick of the internet is to look ubiquitous whilst actually being totally individual and targeted.
That said, Amazon really is a dangerous way to do business, continually forcing users to sign up for regular payments via its Amazon Prime extortion system. There used to be a law in this country that said inertia trading is illegal. Quite plainly Amazon Prime is inertia trading of the worst kind: once the system deems that you have signed up you have to go through the most elaborate rigmarole to unsign. Why are these people not in jail? |
