Patchy knowledge at the Beeb
Just listened to a programme on radio 4 called The Patch. The concept is to randomly generate a postcode and then go there to find a story.

To my astonishment the postcode they generated was mine ME4 6, though so far as I could tell they never reached the area, contenting themselves with visiting a pub in Rochester and a chemist run by a guy called Fared.

There were touches of humour as when the resident expert in the studio pronounced that ME postcodes mean Medway (they don't ME means Maidstone, Medway would be MY) but much of the programme was the usual stuff about drugs and the closure of the dockyards.

However the portrayal of the NHS in Medway was both accurate and terrifying.
