Trump's election strategy?

| It is interesting that Trump has changed tack on the virus: he used to say it was a hoax but is now maintaining America is ready to deal with it.
If the virus follows the normal course of these things it will more or less disappear during the summer months and then return with a vengeance in the autumn. This will be just in time for the American election in November. Will the election be cancelled on the grounds that such a large public gathering is simply too dangerous? Clearly if Bernie Sanders is the Democratic candidate this is the only way Trump can hang on to the presidency, since Sanders appeals to the blue collar workers in the rust bucket states who enabled Trump to win last time and have been cruelly disappointed by him. | ||
