Hackers kill my digital radio signal
Spoiler alert. If you think we live in a fair and honourable society where the authorities abide by the rule of law and only felons get chased by the honest coppers; don't read this. You will never believe it.
For many years now my life has been made a misery, primarily by a hacking campaign. Any electronic equipment I use gets handicapped or destroyed. When I relied on tech to earn a living this was utterly intolerable, making me very depressed and inward looking. I used to cry when walking down the streets. Things are going quite well now since I have given up the work I used to do (mainly video technician services). I quit this partly because I never really knew if I was going to be able to hear from my clients, let alone do work that depended on using sophisticated equipment. Lately, because of the lockdown (I guess), I have been digitizing my photo negatives. If you follow me you will have seen some of the photos I have been rescuing from my old files. To do this I bought a cheap photo digitizer via Ebay. Unfortunately, the first one I got stopped working after it fell onto some soft material from a low table. Bugger, I thought, that was unlucky. But I had had such good results that I decided to get a second one. All went swimmingly until today when I discovered that the new one emits a radio signal that blocks a digital radio. Just stops it working dead. I thought 'that's suspicious'. Ordinary amateur gear never knocks out a digital radio. And there's absolutely no reason why a cheap digitizer should be emitting a signal of any kind. So I thought, I wonder if that first digitizer was really broken in the fall or had it been somehow mysteriously switched off remotely in order to get me to order a new one containing a transmitter powerful enough to knock out a digital radio? I dug it out and discovered that it hadn't broken at all. It was working again. More than that, it doesn't knock out the digital radio. Only the new one does that. I am not a criminal or a terrorist. My only crime is that I am a member of the Labour Party.
