A grave man The last thing Frank Brown said to me was that we should meet in London on March 30 (today). He planned to visit the city for three days, meeting a couple of old friends. I do not know their names, or even if they have been informed that he's not going to make it. An appointment like that reminds me of Mercutio's last speech in Romeo and Juliet, which goes something like if you meet me tomorrow it will be a grave day. Frank planned to find a karaoke, something he had been doing a lot lately. He said he went down a storm, and he probably did since karaoke is more about the intensity of feeling than skill. Frank lapped up applause. But I will not be able to judge. |
