MI5 trashes my computers | ||
Bins today and I am throwing away two computers. They were cheap but I am sorry to see them go, stuffed up by MI5. I estimate I have lost about 20 computers during MI5's hacking campaign, but it may be more. I also managed to put beyond use a brand new laptop I bought a couple of days ago when I tried to convert it to Linux. You have to change the bios from Uefi to legacy, which I did, but it will not boot. My fault, probably, but time consuming and expensive. Frustrating too because Lenovo describes an out of date bios on its website!
Linux is suppposed to be just about free from viruses. Well that's what they say, though I have now learned of an anti virus package designed for Linux (see https://www.clamav.net/downloads#otherversions). In the last couple of days the three machines I use as sheep dips, to enable me to communicate with the outside world, have all failed. I am going to throw two of them away. The third I will try to save, but I'm not very hopeful. A common feature is freezing up followed by a loss of the graphical front end and then a stream of not helpful text, mostly repeating the same combination of letters and numbers. It is not very difficult to guess who is responsible for this. But it is difficult to work out what they hope to gain except massively distressing me and making me angry. Please ignore my next few posts about MI5. I'm feeling quite bitter about them right now. ClamAV can be found for Ubuntu in the apt repository. Run this command to install ClamAV: apt-get install clamav Ubuntu packages are maintained by Ubuntu MOTU Developers. |
