Friday Frolic in Love Lane, Rochester.
The Friday Frolic gang, a social group that is part of the running club, made the presentation at the Wetherspoons, the place they know I like to go for breakfast after the run. As well as the Garmin they gave me a green club shirt.
I told them I had one like that but the letters in my name were falling off. "We noticed," they chorused in unison. They also gave me an album made up of Friday Frolic group photos, many including me but some taken by me.
Clearly they were trying to make it my day since they also asked me to select the route.
A wonderful send off and I haven't gone yet.
