So it seems that MI5 is at it again. A while ago MI5 was caught red handed assisting American authorities in extraordinary rendition (AKA torture and illegal incarceration).

Wikipedia says: "A 2018 report by the Intelligence and Security Committee of Parliament found the United Kingdom, specifically MI5 and MI6, to be complicit in many of the renditions done by the U.S., has helped fund them, supplying them with intelligence and knowingly allowing them to happen." See review of the film Page Eight, a propaganda account of MI5's role in these atrocities.

Now the BBC reports that a British national, Jagtar Singh Johal, from Dumbarton, who was an active blogger and campaigner for Sikh human rights, was abducted and allegedly tortured by Punjab police, after Indian authorites were tipped off by the British secret police. "MI5 passed intelligence to a liaison partner via the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6)", says the Investigatory Powers Commissioner's Office (IPCO). The human rights group Reprieve, which has taken up the case, says the facts match Mr Johal's case, even though he is not actually named in the report. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-62639233
