Róisín Cusack is dead. Rose, as she was known when she lived in England, was my neighbour for many years when I lived in St Helier's Road, Leyton, north east London. I doubt if any of my friends will remember her, but some may. Although she was a strict tee totaller, she worked in a bar for a while. This presented her with a problem: not the alcohol but the maths. She couldn't add up in English but had to translate to Gaelic and then she could do the maths. Once she arrived at a total she could translate it back into English. She was a warm friendly lady and had two daughters.
