So it is a smart meter...
I returned from a fortnight's holiday on Friday (yesterday) to find a hand delivered letter addressed to a former tenant threatening to cut off my smart meter.

I moved into 19 Egremont Street, Millom LA18 4EA on August 26. You have never contacted me though I have forwarded some letters addressed to Thomas Brough, presumably to you.

I find it hard to believe I have run up a bill of £1,393. 33 since August 26 and believe I should be able to see my smart meter readings broken down into daily or weekly units. How do I do this?

The former tenant was Thomas Brough though I think he must have moved out at least a year ago. His account number was 190467351.

When I moved in I arranged for EDF to manage the gas and electricity for me, though I have never been able to get EDF to give me a gas meter reading. EDF claimed to be the existing gas supplier.

I am happy to move to SSE for my gas account, preferably back dated to August 26, though I have no desire to pay Mr Brough's bill.
