Hackers blocking Google (and Youtube)
When I get into my Google account the Enable Passkeys option is highlighted suggesting that I don't have a Passkey. A Passkey is Google's idea for a way to cut down on the trouble you have to take when entering your Google account in order to sync.

I use Chrome and a Google account on several computers. It is not easy since Google always requires me to use my Titon security key. But what happened yesterday was ridiculous. Another attempt by the hackers to make my life a misery.
Going into my Windows 11 desktop, I just went round and round in circles for about ten minutes. I simply could not sync Google.

My Titon key would flash (as it is supposed to) and every time the screen said it hadn't worked.

So I swapped to a Mac desktop and the same thing happened again. This time I used a screen grabber with the result you can see. It took me through the same loop but I got to opt out to a different menu and then my key was recognised. Strangely if I use Safari (the Mac browser) I can go straight into my Google account without even using a Titon key.

A small matter, probably? But harassment, certainly.

I have been using a Titon key for more than two years. It works. I sync into my Google account every day.

This is how the Government spends your taxes. Hackers are not cheap.
