Known unknowns or unknown unknowns?
I have often posted about hackers using a command line to enter my Gmail account, but this is quite interesting.
You will see the top two browser entries are both using Safari, the Mac browser. The first one is in the public mode , the second secret or private. It makes no difference to the hackers. They get straight in seemingly without any trouble. The hackers entries are the ones described as "unknown", in other words a command line interface, not a browser. Yet they don't always hack into my Gmail. If you look at the entry from two days ago, my Safari browser gets into Gmail but there is no "unknown" entry. This may be because I only went into Gmail very briefly. However, if this was anything other than a hack, the time spent in Gmail would not be relevant and there would still be an "unknown" entry.
