Click for next image		Sydney is, to my mind, very much like Marseille. They both have vast numbers of expensive yachts in their harbours. Both have fantastic public transport systems and wonderful restaurants. And both often (usually) have clear blue skies. The big difference, apart from the language, is that Sydney seems to come alive at night. It is a 24 hour a day city; whereas when I was last in Marseille the public transport system seemed to shut at 10 pm. At least I believe Sydney comes alive at night, though personally I go to bed early in order to get up before dawn to go to one of Sydney's amazing swimming pools. It is 50 metres long (excluding the diving area) and open air. Simply wonderful. This image has been grabbed from the pool's website. Click to go to website.
