| SOURCES | In a story headlined Iranian intelligence used narco trafficker to recruit Hells Angel for planned assassination a publication called The Record repeats the unsubstantiated boast by MI5 that it had foiled 15 attempts by the Iranian regime to kidnap or kill people in the UK.
Perhaps but one of the advantages (or perhaps disadvantages) of being the secret police is that hard evidence for all this foiling rarely gets published. Interestingly, the Record makes the somewhat surprising claim that Iran International, a television station where MI5 claims it was involved in arresting someone involved in hostile reconnaissance, has since moved to the United States, claiming it was no longer safe to operate on British soil. | |
