On the train | |||
On the train this morning unable to book a ticket at the swimming pool using my Chromebook. The security agencies have a particular obsession with stopping me booking swimming sessions. Quite why I don't know.
I eventually gave up having wasted most of the journey. If you have been following the news lately you will have seen that MI5 is being sued because of the alleged incompetence it displayed in the Manchester Arena bombing. MI5 has in the past complained about a lack of resources in the North East. No doubt the problem is that they are using all their resources to disrupt, deny and degrade my efforts (to go swimming). |

These vile people have nothing better to do with their time than block my computer use. According to my laptop the wifi signal was strong. A couple of hours earlier I had been using the Chromebook on the train without any problems despite the fact that it was showing a weaker signal: only moderate wifi. Your taxes pay for this childishness.

On the train this morning I tried to book a swim at the pool in Barrow. This was blocked, as was my attempt to load Facebook. It was possible, however, to load my VPN and enter one of my web sites. My Google Chromebook told me that I had a medium strength wifi signal, so I should have been able to book the ticket and use Facebook. I had Powerwashed the Chromebook (ie cleaned everything off and set it to new) the previous day and I had not entered my website since then (so there was no way it could be in the cache). When I got to the pool in Barrow the receptionist told me that there was no problem with the web site since other swimmers had managed to book sessions today. A couple of days ago I spent an hour on a Northern train (the same type as I was travelling on today) going to Whitehaven. I had absolutely no trouble using the wifi on the same machine. Quite how hackers could do this is a mystery to me, but I am very suspicious about the fact that my new password (I changed it yesterday) has yet to kick in. Anyway, however they did it; you are paying. Only Government sponsored hackers could pull off a criminal act of this kind.
