August 19, 2022 The disease of obsessive secrecy | A while back MI5 had the chance to apologise for the evil and criminal way it behaved at the Kincora Boys' Home.
Although the indication was that MI5 would finally make a full and grovelling apology, when it came to it the spooks ducked. Amateurs and incompetents (MI5 comes into the second category) believe it is dangerous to apologise since it can be held against you in a future legal action. Well now we have the legal action and I would be quite surprised if MI5 gets any brownie points for silence. |
