What does MI5 do? Why it smears people!
What is the point of a public inquiry? Well when it comes to the UK Undercover Policing Inquiry clearly it is not to actually find out what happened, at least not while the cameras are turned on.

Trevor Morris is a former undercover police officer. He was one of the team who infiltrated left wing and environmental groups in the 1990s. Not a nice man. You may notice that right wing groups that riot or burn down police stations do not get infiltrated except by volunteers like Hope Not Hate.

But nice or nasty the point is that Morris knows of what he speaks. And when he spoke about smearing individuals he completely denied it. He said: "nonsense. That's not what we're about, we're about gathering intelligence, not smearing individuals. That's a Security Service job, let them do that. We're about gathering intelligence, that's what we were doing."

This short video shows the point at which the cameras were turned off because the inquiry got a little bit too close to the truth.
