| Watergate it aint! | ||
| At heart the Watergate scandal was about one of the political parties bugging another. So far as I can recall no useful information was obtained. The issue reached public attention because some rather disreputable individuals got caught burgling the Watergate building as part of the operation.
That was it. The current American government imposed an Israeli national as attorney general for Las Vegas (she didn't have the qualifications to go through the normal appointment procedure) and under her watch an Israeli spy and pedophile caught in a sting operation by the police in Las Vegas has been allowed to flee back to Israel. Evidently it is no longer true that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Meanwhile the anger caused by attempting to sweep the Epstein affair under the carpet continues to build. Trump has already sent the national guard into Washington and is threatening to do similar in other cities. And every day children are being starved, maimed, killed and brutalised in Gaza. This is not Watergate. |
