Little Egret
 BIRD INDEX
This bird (or one of its relatives) can often be seen in the Flood Relief Channel. It has been identified by John Sellar as a Little Egret (Egretta garzetta). He says they are not too common on the local reserves but are being seen more and more in the South of England. They are very common on the continent, he adds. (18/Aug/2012)
