| According to the triffid like sign there used to be 100 football pitches on Hackney Marshes, a world record. The sign says "The marsh is home to dozens of parks teams playing in nine different leagues. These include leagues for Turkish and Kurdish communities. Sundays are the busiest days, with over 100 matches played morning and afternoon." (23/Jan/2010). |
