Wild Hops (Humulus lupulus) seem to be plentiful on Lea Marshes. Hops are dioecious - different plants have male and female flowers. The male flowers are on the fence by the north-east exit of the North Marsh. The plant bearing the female 'cones' was in the hedgerow by the North Ditch. Warning this plant may give you a rash if you are prone to allergies! | ||
