Michaelmas Daisy dominates much of the Inner Marsh (the bit between the two railway lines, the Lea and Sandy Path) in the Autumn. It is an invader but it has been here since the 1970s (prior to the declaration of the SSSI). It comes in several forms Aster x lanceolatus, Aster x novi-belgii and Aster x salignus. (26/August/2012)
