Bird versus pylon
     BIRD INDEX

A few seconds before this photo was taken this goose was flying high above Coppermill Fields, fighting a strong wind. The wind drove the goose into the electrical cables running between the pylons. The force of the collision sliced a wing off and the poor bird fell to earth on the concrete road on the adjoining waterworks property. Luckily the body lay on the other side of a stout fence so there was no dilemma about whether or not to take it home and eat goose on Christmas Day!
