Squirrels

(23/Sep/2011)
Squirrels, the nearly ubiqitous American grey type, are now becoming quite common in the woody bits of the marshes. They used to be rare. The squirrel invasion may be to do with changes in management practice (the marsh may be getting drier), or perhaps the encouragement of green corridors is allowing them to spread. The photo was taken in the Waterworks Nature Reserve (next to the golf course).
