I don't know where this comes from but it look like a letter from a profesional genealogist.
I am afraid that these documents contain seals, and thus are unsuitable for photocopying, and have not yet been filmed. I therefore used some of your research time to examine these.

D/A1/180/248 records the grant of administration of the goods of John Brind, late of the parish of Sparsholt, to John Howell of Compton, co. Wilts, yeoman, and Edward Smith of Warnborough, co-Wilts, victualler. They were also granted guardianship of John's children Ann and Thomas, the widow, Ann Brind, having survived her husband but died before being granted the administration. The administrators were bound by £3,000 to pay off all creditors. The document is dated 23 July 1787.

D/A1/180/164 records the grant of administration of the goods of Sarah Brind of Ashbury, widow, to her daughter Sarah, wife of Richard Judge of Ashbury, carpenter. It is dated 24 January 1742.

If the Thomas Brind of Hungerford and Chilton Foliat is the same as the minor of the 1787 admon, I thought it might be worth checking the Sparsholt parish registers. Both Sparsholt and Ashbury are a little to the north of Hungerford and Chilton Foliat, but all are in the extreme west of the county, bordering Wiltshire.

I searched the Sparsholt register for John and Ann's burials, 1786-1788, without success, and for the baptism of their children, 1765-1787. I then searched the following sections of the Ashbury registers, without success:

Baptisms, 1765-1788
Marriages, 1765-1787
Burials, 1785-1788

I am afraid that the marriage register covering the period 1754-1777 is in a very fragile state, and many pages are damaged or missing.

I then just had time to check an index to marriage licenses, finding the following Brinds:

Charles Brind of Warnborough, co. Wilts & Margaret Harris of Bourton, 1686.

Edward Brind of Stratton, co. Wilts, & Ann Newbery ofAbingdon, 1692

John Brind of Warnborough, co. Wilts, & Mary Hathaway of Hatford, 1697

John Brind of Ashton Gifford, co. Wilts, & Mary Hanslow of Fyfield, 1827.

I suspect these are related at least to John Brind of Sparsholt (above), especially with the Warnborough connection.

I also checked our personal names index, and found three references, all from various tithe maps:

James Brind owned land in Thatcham in 1841; Robert Brind owned and occupied land in Winterbourne in 1841; and Thomas Brind owned and occupied land in Catmore in 1846.
