Nicholas Brind South Marston 1635

(R12-128, Deans Court). The document consists of what looks like an administration in Latin, which I can't read, followed by an inventory in English. The inventory demonstrates that this was a wealthy man.

An inventory of the goods and the chattels of Nicholas Brind late of South Marston in the County of Wilts gent deceased taken and .... by Wm. Bennett and John Dixen of South Marston before said in the County before said yeomen on the fourth day of November ano Dm 1635 viz.

Lot of Latin, including the date 1635, ending Johnson Regr.

*Bandoleer: a leathern belt formerly worn by musketeers over the right shoulder to sustain their firearms: a small case of wood or leather attached to a bandoleer, each containing a charge of powder.

*skillets: a small kettle or boiler. This amount was crossed out.
