(48)Letter from researcher.Dr Stephen W. Taylor B.A. Ph.D. Historical Research Consultant and GenealogistDear Lieutenant-Colonel Brind, I enclose a typescript of my associate's notes concerning the Wiltshire Record office items 1337/6-7. It is not possible to state categorically that the two documents relate to the same person. The document of 1482 mentioned John Brend senior while that of 1497 names John Brynde of Southmerston, husbandman, so they could be the same person but equally may not be! I hope this information answers your questions and helps your research. Have you searched for any early material in the Public Record Office, Chancery Lane? It is possible that additional documents will be found there.
Yours sincerely, (Dr.) S. W. Taylor B.A.; Ph.D. Also at: 95 Elm Park Road, Reading, Berkshire RG3 2TP
