Mr, Mrs A F McFee to reside in Halifax
Following a honeymoon through the interior of British Columbia, Mr and Mrs Allen Finlay McFee will reside in Halifax, NS.
Rev Franck Patterson officiated in Carman United Church, Sardis, at the early evening wedding of Norma Leila Brind,elder daught of Mr and Mrs Herrbert C Brind, Ryder Lake, and the son of Mr and Mrs D D McFee, Chilliwack.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of nylon lace over delustered satin. The bouffant skirt fell into a train. A tiara or net and pearls held the veil which was banded with lace. Pink roses and stephanotis comprised the bridal bouquet.
Wearing dresses fashioned of pink organza the attendants were the bride's sister, Sandra Brind, who was maid of honor, and Pat Kindred. They wore headpieces of pink net and carried white fans with pink ribbon roses.
Mrs David Menzies was organist. The soloist, Mrs Lenny Hudson, sang "Wedding Prayer"and "I'll Walk Beside You".
William Dayton was best man and ushers were Lindsay McPhee and Donald Thomson.
Baskets of pink peonies, white shasta daisies and blue delphiniums were arranged in thechurch and in Ryder Lake Community Hall were the receptionw as held. The hall decorations were by Mrs D Bailey.
S/Sgt Tom DeGagne proposed the toast to the bride.
Mrs Dale Kindred decorated the wedding cake. White carnations, pink roses and snapdragons amde up the centerpiece for the bride's table and were arranged by Mrs John Maddams.
Heather Gamble looked after the gues book. Serving the head table was Lynne Hudson. Serving guests were Sandy Kerr, Marylin Walterhouse, Bessie Wincott, Helen Murdoch, Kathy Shatz, Marie Larsen, Dagmar Larsen, Marion and Adrience Beynon, Melva Braun and Peggy Gamble.
For the honeymoon the bride wore and outfit of bronze rayon damask with brown accessories.
Mr and Mrs McFee will reside at 5 Needham Street, Halifax, NS.
Music for dancing was supplied by Mrs Hazel Voight, A W Voight, J Maddams, J Kerr, J Erickson and Mrs H Foster. John McConnell was master of ceremonies.
Among the out of town guests were Mr and Mrs C W Hedges, Beaverdale, Sask. Mr Hedges was best man at the wedding of the bride's parents.
