Major General Sir James Brind KCB
Sir James was a Major General from 1 Jun 1867 to 30 Sep 1877, from 26 Dec 1873 to the end of 1878 he commanded a Division in India and so the photo was taken between 1867 and 1873, his fourth wife died in the UK in 1868. In 1877 he did not have a long beard. The photo is in the album between photos dated 1869 and 1873.
