Frederick & Lilian Brind
Married in England, Dec 4, 1916. Fred was in the army in WW1.

William was the only child to be born in England. When the war was over Fred came to North Vancouver when he shoed horses for a living. Lilian came shortly after in 1919 with William.

where Fred worked on the Metter Farm. On November 9, 1925, Thomas Ambrose was born. He was the only child born at home and was delivered with the help of a mid-wife.

Another move took them to Cheiot Hills, Alta, where they farmed the Top place. On January 25th, 1928, Joseph Colin was born. The last of four sons.

Another girl, Rosalyn Margaret, was born on September 9, 1929, but sadly she died just two days later, on September 11, 1929. She is buried in Golden Valley Cemetary.

Lilian was 44 years old when Emily Yvonne was born on November 6, 1940, in Lloydminster Sask. This would be the couple's last child.

Sadly a year later their oldest son, William died on Christmas day. He contracted lock-jaw after burying the neighbor's cow. At that time he had a daughter, Doreen, who was just a little over a month old.

Fred and Lilian returned to BC when Bert & Mary were wed. They settled in Chilliwack where Fred worked as a blacksmith. He had a shop of college street across from where the courthouse is now.

They moved to Summerland in 1952 where they stayed until Fred died on March 25, 1954. Lilian moved back to Chilliwack sometime later where she took up new residence at Piper Richardson> Lilian died on June 22, 1991, in Chilliwack General Hospital's Extended Care unit.
