William George born 29/10/1886. He died in 1961 at the age of 75. He looks about 14 in the family gathering photo (see left), suggesting the photo was taken in about 1901.

William George revealing why Brinds should think twice before growing moustaches!

William George with wife Florence and children Charlie, Arthur, Harold, Victor and Jeanne, though one of the boys seems to be missing (probably Charlie, perhaps he took the photo!). The picture was taken in about 1925 by which time William George had clearly got the hang of moustache growing. It is remarkable how much William George has changed in about 25 years. The only things that connect this photo with the picture of him in about 1901, are the deep set eyes and the typical Brind stick out ears. Otherwise these could be entirely different people.
