Six Brind wedding guests

This is a picture of the wedding of Raymond Riley & Joyce Marchant. From the far right hand side, 6 ladies in are all members of the Brind Family. The first one on the right is called Lilian Brind. And the third lady poking her head through is Alice Brind. The woman slightly to the left of Alice who is straining to look over is called Mabel Brind, she was my grandmother. The other ladies i cannot put a name to but i know they are all Brinds. On the left there is a child being held, the first lady to the left of her is called Caroline Brind, the mother of the groom.

Jackie Mercer: Great photo Sandra, Im trying to enlarge it to see who is who, The man at far right of the photo peeping around a woman is uncle Harry. Harry Coombs Aunt Gigs husband.Which makes sense as the first lady is Aunt Gig (Lilian). Aunt Alice is very easy to see. Aunt Carrie (Caroline) very visable as you say, You know she was not really Raymons mother don't you? Do you know the year? Was Joyce Marchant related to your fathers family? Jacqueline Beal I also have similar photos of my uncle Raymond and aunt Joyce's wedding . I think it was about 1952/53. The ladies on the right in the front are not all Brinds. After Lillian Brind (Giggie) it is my Aunt Bela (Isabel Conroy nee Beal, Raymond's sister) , my cousin Jean (My aunt Lillian's daughter), my Aunt Lilly ( Lillian Craig Nee Beal, Raymond's sister) , My Aunt Violet (Violet Dallaway nee Beal/Snow she was adopted by Aunt Charlotte when my grandmother Elizabeth Beal nee Brind died - Raymond's sister), just behind her is my mother Lucy Beal. Then there is Joyce's father and mother (I don't know their names). My father Henry Beal - Harry (Raymond's brother) was best man and is next to uncle Raymond. I am the child being held by my father. I look about 18months/2 years old. The man with dark hair standing at the back behind Raymond's adoptive mother Caroline is another of Raymond's brothers William Beal (Billy). 15 March 2008

Sandra Bellamy Thank you for filling in the names of the ladies at the front of the picture. Joyce's mother & father's names was John & Alice Marchant they were my nan and grandad. Joyce was my dad's (George Marchant) sister and Raymond was my mum's (Doris Marchant) cousin, my nan Mabel Burrows nee Brind was your grandmother's sister, bit complicated isn't it.
